You cannot make every digital service private, but you can make your data footprint more intentional.

Choose one ordinary activity—booking travel, ordering food, or sharing photos—and list every place the information goes. Include the app, payment service, email inbox, cloud backup, and any person who receives a copy.

Draw a simple map

  1. Write down where the data starts.
  2. Trace each copy or transfer.
  3. Mark which services keep it.
  4. Delete what no longer serves a purpose.
